While psychedelics and plant medicines have been used by Indigenous communities for thousands of years, a recent resurgence of medical research has highlighted their therapeutic benefits. This psychedelic research is quickly evolving; studies are being conducted with a variety of substances (e.g., ketamine, ayahuasca, MDMA, psilocybin), in a number of areas, such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), treatment-resistant depression, addictions, and end of life distress. Of course, psychedelics are also used outside of clinical research for personal growth, spiritual development, and recreation.
I offer both psychedelic preparation and integration support.
My aim, inline with the principles of harm reduction, is to help you minimize potential harms and make the most of both positive and challenging experiences. I provide a safe space where you can share your psychedelic experience, explore and process its meaning, and work towards integrating insights into your daily life.
My work in this area is support by:
the completing of two postgraduate certifications (i.e., Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy and Psychedelic Harm Reduction and Integration) through Fluence
extensive experience providing preparation and integration in a ketamine-assisted psychotherapy program
being a therapist in a psilocybin clinical trial (i.e., psilocybin-assisted motivational enhancement therapy for alcohol use disorder)
providing training on ethical consideration and integration practices
Disclaimer: I do not provide psychedelics or referrals to “underground” (i.e., illegal) psychedelic services. I also do not provide medical advice and my psychological services are not substitutes for medical care.
